Network infrastructure that stays out of your way

Switching, segmentation, structured cabling and enterprise wireless — designed so the network stops being the first thing blamed.

Design

The network is the foundation everything sits on

When applications feel slow, when the Wi-Fi drops in the meeting room, when the backup takes fourteen hours — the network is usually where the answer lies, and rarely where anyone looks first.

We design networks around three things: segmentation (servers, users, guests, cameras and production equipment on separate VLANs), capacity (uplinks sized for real traffic, not for the number of ports), and visibility (managed equipment that can tell you what is happening).

Services

What we deliver

Cabling to controller, one contractor.

Switching

Cisco, Aruba, HP and FortiSwitch — specified, configured and stacked where appropriate.

VLAN & segmentation

Logical separation between servers, staff, guests, cameras and production systems.

Enterprise Wi-Fi

Access point placement from a survey, with channel and power planning.

Wi-Fi site survey

Measured coverage and interference mapping before hardware is quoted.

Structured cabling

Copper and fibre installation, patch panels, labelling and certification testing.

Routing & WAN

Inter-site routing, MPLS and internet edge design with failover.

Guest networks

Isolated guest access with captive portal and bandwidth control.

Network monitoring

Alerting on link failures, saturation and device faults before users report them.

Documentation

Topology diagrams, port maps and configurations handed over on completion.

FAQ

Networking questions

Why is our office Wi-Fi slow?

Usually not the access points. The common causes are too few APs placed by floor plan rather than by survey, channel overlap with neighbouring networks, an uplink bottleneck behind the AP, or all traffic sharing one flat VLAN. A survey identifies which of these applies before anything is replaced.

Do we need managed switches?

If you want VLANs, quality of service, port security or any visibility into what the network is doing, yes. Unmanaged switches are adequate only for the smallest flat networks.

Can you work with our existing cabling?

Usually. We test what is there and report which links are performing to specification. Replacing an entire cable plant is rarely necessary — replacing the worst 10% often is.

Do you provide documentation?

Yes. Topology diagrams, VLAN and IP allocation, switch port maps and device configurations are handed over on completion.
